One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the ability to integrate diverse approaches in a session that is tailored to each individual.  I specialize in post surgery massage, love working with athletes for optimum physical performance, and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life with varying health issues.

What kind of massage can you expect from me?  I specialize in Clinical Orthopedic Manual Therapy, sports massage, acupressure, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and manual lymphatic drainage.  I can NOT ignore a KNOT.  Simple as that.

My goal is not to replace conventional medicine or treatments, but rather to enhance the overall continuum of care available, to empower individuals to be involved in managing their own health care, and improve their quality of life.

I believe that healing happens when you participate in your session while on the table and when the client and therapist work together the results can be profound.  I have been amazed at the instantaneous change that massage can have on people who have, in some cases, had very long-standing problems.

After your session, I will teach you stretches  and exercises that are the most effective for you.  Do them!  Combining massage with stretching is the most efficient way to help you help yourself.  Self-care is very important and I believe that unless you take responsibility for yourself and your health, any intervention is likely to be temporary.  I will engage you in your healing every step of the way.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Mary E. Coon, L.M.T.
